OUR PHILOSOPHY

Ecological Wine: Organic, Biodynamic, Natural, Minimal intervention, Low sulphite levels, Environmentally sustainable.

WINE GROWERS

All our wine growers are small and independent. Completely at the mercy of mother nature. True to the grapes, the people and the place.

About Us

Founded in 2014, Meadowdale Wines calls the beautiful Isle of Wight home, and we supply wines to the whole of the United Kingdom, and also have a fledgling supply into Denmark.

Our small team of three devote their time to showing consumers and the restaurant trade the benefits of drinking sustainable, ecological wines, with the goal of converting keen wine drinkers to the Meadowdale philosophy. It's working.

Always on the hunt for new and exciting wines we provide our customers with a unique portfolio, made up of delicious organic wines; crafted with minimal intervention, low levels of sulphite, and a lot of love.

There is constant education and research on the go for us here at Meadowdale, including completing our Level Two in Wine and Spirits award at WSET London Wine School (still waiting on the results of Level Three - fingers crossed) plus loads of interesting tastings from many independent wine makers, and regularly attending wine fairs at home and abroad.

If you would like more information on our business please do not hesitate to contact us, we would be very happy to hear from you.

Remember: so many wines so little time! Don't waste time drinking bad wine, enjoy the best. #Trustyourtaste

A Word From The Boss

Dr. Jan Lindfeldt - Founder

Dr. Jan Lindfeldt - Founder

We discovered ecological wines after watching a Swedish television documentary about the potentially harmful additives found in many conventional wines. Timely, we then went to Copenhagen to meet a natural wine guru. After a session with him we were hooked and travelled to wine fairs in Italy, Slovenia and London to wine fairs to taste wines, meet and discuss with wine growers. A new world opened up, treacherous sometimes maybe, but so many wines with vibrant flavours and tastes that we never experienced before. We asked a Japanese importer - why do you buy these kind of wines? He said: Listen to them, and they will reveal their secret. We haven't got that far yet, but we can say one thing: trust your taste buds! That is what we do. The wines our taste buds are happy with, we bring to the Island where we live and have tastings with local people, friends, neighbours; people from all walks of life. Only when we all agree that we have a good wine in front of us, do we consider buying. This is what makes our wine collection unique.
