Tucked away in the mountains, this little vineyard has a long standing tradition in wine production. The family already produced Mantonegro wines in the fifties. The modern winery was officially founded in 2000 and became one of the first organic vineyards in Mallorca. They still take care of these old vineyards and have added Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Viognier. Vineyards: 7 ha in Serra de Tramuntana facing South-West, 500 m asl. Average age: 45 years. Soil: Terra rossa (Call vermell) – red clay. Production: around 13 000 bottles. Organic certification. Es Verger also makes award winning olive oils and runs a restaurant serving a much esteemed Paletilla de Cordero – Shoulder of lamb, Mallorca's finest.
